We were so sad to hear of the passing of Eleanor. She has always been such a vibrant part of our community. The things we will remember most are how caring she always was and how she always managed to be thinking of someone else & not herself. We were lucky to have known her. Our thoughts and prayers go out to her family.

No one who saw them will ever forget the memory of Eleanor and Norm sailing around the Ayr arena, sharing the front and back halves of a horse costume at the annual skating carnival many years ago. The co-ordination and sense of humour they displayed in this team effort was characteristic of their partnership in life. They took turns leading and following, depending on the situation and it served them well. In this particular case, we never did find out for sure who was in which half of the horse.

Hi Mary, Bert, and Les- I remember your mother, Eleanor, as I lived with you for several years while teaching at the town school. Such good meals were a great temptation for a young lady wanting to still fit her dresses! Mary, one of the years you were in grade one where I was your teacher. Your mother had a great heart for others. You will miss her, I know.
