We were blessed to be Jack and Dorothy's neighbours for six and a half years. Jack (and Dorothy) was always so good to our boys. Whenever we would pop by for a visit, Jack was always quick to get out the colouring books and crayons for Niek to colour with. He was so pleased that Niek was a fellow sports fan - Jack sure loved his Leafs and Jays! We have missed you both since we moved seven months ago and the world sure seems a little emptier without you, Jack! Our condolences to Dorothy, Garry, Lois and the rest of the family you were so proud of...

I've been fortunate enough to be driving my grandfather's Buick for the past few years. Of course, only after Grandpa grudgingly had to give it up when his eye-sight deteriorated. I was picking him up from the Paris hospital on Friday, January 27, 2012 in his Buick to take him to the Brantford hospital. I was a little worried because I had some Christmas decorations I'd planned to take back to my parents in the back seat, knowing how particular Grandpa had always been about his car. My dad assured me Grandpa wouldn't notice,he had other things to worry about. What was the first thing he said as he got into the car? "What's that you've got in the back?" Couldn't slip anything past Grandpa when it came to his car.
